Event description
On 16th March 2021, AmCham Sustainable Development and Corporate Impact Committee held its monthly meeting which was devoted to World Water Day.
Ambika Jindal, Lead of the Valuing Water Initiative was the guest speaker and delivered a comprehensive presentation on “Water as a credit risk”. During the presentation, she defined why water can be translated into a credit risk, and outlined the increasing impact of water-related credit issues affecting different sectors, particularly water-intensive ones.
The event was attended by AmCham members and partners, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands to Azerbaijan, Ms. Pauline Eizema, and other representatives of diplomatic corps.
The meeting was opened by the welcome speech of Executive Director of AmCham Azerbaijan, Ms. Gulnara Aslanbayli. Afterwards, Ms. Gunel Farajova, Chairperson of Sustainable Development and Corporate Impact Committee, introduced the guest speaker and announced the agenda.
At the end of the meeting, participants engaged in an open dialogue, as well as participated in a Q&A session with the guest speaker, sharing their concerns and exchanging best practices.
