VWI is exploring ways towards better decisions impacting water in Tanzania. In March 2023, during the United Nations Water Conference, a meeting on valuing water was co-convened with the government of Tanzania, to explore possible convergences and opportunities to join the valuing water community. Currently, possible collaboration opportunities are being explored.
Collaboration opportunities
• A values-based dialogue on water was organized in Tanzania during the CBA18 conference in 2024 in Arusha, Tanzania.
• The implementation of the Valuing Water Principles (VWP) is explored as a continuation of the work done on ‘Valuing Water in Tanzania (Re)assessing the Contribution of Water to the National Economy’. See related resources below.
