Tell us how you value water

Understanding personal values in relation to water is fundamental to promote transformation in water governance. Using a values lens to look at water challenges could lead to improved behaviours or decisions.

To fill this void we partnered with researchers in the United Kingdom from the University of Cambridge, University of Leeds, University of Bath, and Scotland’s Rural College to create a global online survey to understand how personal values impact decision-making in water governance. The results of the survey will be used to create a practitioner guide to facilitate a value-sensitive approach to water governance which will be published in 2022. We hope the guide will help reconcile values between different stakeholders and ultimately change water related policy and practice.
